Hot on the heels of a major security release, Oracle is once again giving DBA’s some extra work.

Homeland Security has released a security alert indicating that Oracle has dealt with a vulnerability in WebLogic. That vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

A patch is available from Oracle. That patch should be applied as soon as possible as remote attackers have proved to be capable of reverse engineering vendor patches and attacking systems prior to administrator’s patching cycles.

Oracle Releases April 2019 Security Bulletin. Oracle DBA’s: the race is on. The bad guys are actively reverse-engineering the patches to determine what was broken. I expect exploits to become active within hours. Get patched!
